The GLORY MACHINERY 1600 type coil-to-coil 8K mirror polishing machine line is engineered for continuous production of No.8 / 8K mirror-finished stainless steel coil. The line integrates heavy-duty coil handling, strip leveling and guiding, SB surface preparation, multi-stage rotary disc polishing, process-liquid control, cleaning, drying, film lamination and precision recoiling.
The polishing heart of the line is a 31-group section: 6 groups of SB oscillating machines for rough polishing, followed by 25 groups of rotary disc machines (oblique, double-disc rough, double-disc fine and light-duty fine configurations) that build the mirror finish in stages.
Compared with sheet polishing, continuous coil polishing requires stricter control of slurry, polishing residue, strip stability and cleaning. The staged process is designed to maintain a uniform polishing path while reducing the risk of scratches, polishing-head vibration and surface inconsistency.
The line is documented for stainless steel coil 0.3–3.0 mm thick and 600–1,550 mm wide, with coil weight up to 25 t, production speed of 5–20 m/min and installed power of approximately 1,048 kW. A Siemens PLC coordinates the equipment and can integrate temperature, acidity and pressure monitoring. Final speed and mirror quality depend on the incoming material, consumables, process settings and the approved surface sample.
